Working With Mind Power Affirmations

Reciting affirmations regularly helps push the mind in a new direction and in the process you get your subconscious mind to create your life based on your affirmations. If you want to develop mind power and really engage your subconscious mind then you need to work with affirmations. But you should choose your affirmations carefully and make sure they target what you want and not what you don't want.

If you're not familiar with affirmations, they're positive statements that you repeat to yourself to the point where your mind accepts them. Once your mind accepts them they then penetrate the subconscious mind. When this happens you direct the power of the mind and subconscious mind to create the situations reflected in your affirmations.

When your subconscious mind picks up on the affirmations it creates situations or guides you to situations that mirror those affirmations, this is how the power of the mind and subconscious mind really works. You'll also start meeting people who will try to help you achieve the outcome you stated in your affirmations. You'll have to explore all options and be open to new possibilities. You won't know if your affirmations are working until you begin to explore the new opportunities that you come across and consider working with some of the people who are trying to help you.

To succeed with affirmations you have to repeat them throughout the day as often as you can. This is where most people fail with affirmations. They simply forget to say them or they don't say them enough, or they don't say them for long enough. They often give up before the affirmations can really start to take hold.

There's no set number of times to repeat an affirmation. Just repeat them as often as you can or until you succeed.

Some people even have affirmation programs that they play throughout the night as they go to sleep. As they sleep the subconscious mind picks up on these statements and works on turning those statements into reality. It's almost as effective as saying the positive affirmations to yourself.

If you have any desire to create changes or if you simply want to direct the power of your subconscious mind to create what you want then you should be working with affirmations, or statements that reach the subconscious mind and direct it to create the situations you want.

It's important to be specific with your affirmations as the more specific you are the more clear your directions to the subconscious mind become. With clear instructions your subconscious has a clear understanding of what you want and can go about creating the situations and opportunities that reflect your affirmations more easily.

This is another reason why most people fail to get results with affirmations, they're simply not specific enough. Your affirmations should be specific and should target what you want, not what you don't want.

Here are some examples of poor affirmations:

I'm making more money

I'm in a relationship

I'm getting a new job

These affirmations are not specific and not well targeted.
You need to give your subconscious mind a clear direction and your affirmations should be well focused and aim to create a specific outcome that you can measure and that your subconscious can create.

In the above examples you would state how much money you want to make, what kind of relationship you want - get specific about the dynamics of the relationship, and you would be specific about the kind of job that you want.

Your affirmations should also be focused on you and effect you only. You can't create affirmations that compel others to do something. For example you can't say: "my boss treats me well." You can't control what your boss does or how he/she treats you.

So when working and creating affirmations remember that you have to work with them regularly. You have to repeat them as often as you can. You have to keep them well focused. Your affirmations have to be specific and they should only effect you.

The last part about an affirmation is that it should be positive and focus on what you want. Here's an example of an affirmation that is not very positive and is aimed at what you don't want:

"I'm out of debt."

This affirmation focuses on debt. The mind's attention is on the debt so the subconscious thinks you want more debt. Instead of debt you likely want more money so you can pay your bills and have some left over. You could create an affirmation that says: "I'm making, saving and managing my money so I have plenty left over for me." There's a big difference between these two affirmations. On is negative and focuses on what you don't want. The other is positive and focuses on what you do want.

By working with affirmations regularly you further develop your mind power, you train your subconscious mind to create what you want and you start taking control of your life.

Mind power and affirmations work well together and once your subconscious mind accepts your affirmations you'll begin to see dramatic changes.

There are specific techniques that you can use to direct your subconscious mind. Affirmations help you do this but you need to have the right affirmations.

The mind and subconscious mind will initially reject any and almost all new affirmations. In order for the mind and subconscious mind to accept them easily, you need to create affirmations that the mind and subconscious mind can easily accept.
